Through this research project, I explored the Swahili Coastal world, examining how centuries of trade, migration, and cultural exchange shaped its unique identity. The presentation highlighted the region’s rich traditions, values, and social systems, showing how Islamic influence blended with African heritage to form a distinct coastal culture. From architecture and language to rituals and community practices, the Swahili world reflects a history of resilience, hybridity, and creativity that continues to influence East African society today.
